Nandos’ Fires Up Soweto in Style!!

Now that Nandos’ has stepped up their game, it will be attracting more than chicken lovers. Having moved to new premises that is beautifully decorated and has a constant theme that reminds us of the traditional Nandos’ that we grew up knowing.

Last Thursday (16 April) they revealed their new concept restaurant at Maponya Mall in Soweto, which now offers grown up drinks. Ensuring that no one is neglected and all needs are taken care off.

During the launch we were entertained by Grammy Award winning group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Phila Mazibuko. And comedian Tol A$$ Mo was the host of the evening. Not a bad choice of entertainment as everyone fitted the theme and represented what the brand was bringing to life.

Nandos’ appointed three main chicks to #FireUpSpweto, namely Khanyi Mbau, Nomzamo Mbatha and Amanda Du Pont. They took a tour of Soweto earlier that day to really absorb themselves in the Kasi culture.

Let me just say that this was a VERY well attended event, not sure though if people came for the chicken or to experience Soweto. Nevertheless it was great seeing everyone even though it meant reducing my chances of winning the competition.

I love my goodie bag, simply because I received a note pad that’s has a leather upper, and stationary. Really had a fun night, the food was amazing and drinks on point. Will definitely now hang out at Nandos’ when in Soweto because of their new drinks menu and some good old fashion flame grilled chicken.

Thank you for the invite, and the drive was worth it!!
