Nando’s #FiredUpSoweto Experience

Filed under : Africa, Entrepreneurs, Lifestyle

Sure, you’re familiar with the taste of Nando’s delectable PERi-PERi chicken, the comfortable dining experience and with the vibrant local artwork that covers the walls of its restaurants. But Nando’s is restless, and just when you were getting comfortable, it upped and changed everything.

The new Nando’s at Maponya Mall has broken all Nando’s norms. Not only is there an exciting and differentiated menu, but the hot new decor is iconic and proudly South African. This is how Nando’s rolls.

Nando’s Maponya represents a space designed to refresh and delight, complete with a relaxed and comfortable takeout waiting area, easy to read menu’s as opposed to menu boards and snacks and beverages to enjoy while waiting. The relaunched Maponya restaurant boasts an enhanced dine-in experience complete with waitrons, and a friendly Nando’s staff member to greet and seat you the moment you arrive.

“Our first concept store in Blackheath proved to us that our customers are as excited and stimulated by change as we are,” says Trudi van Niekerk, Nando’s Business Development Director. “It turns out that we all love firing things up a bit – it’s a Nando’s like no other.”

“Nando’s began with a single restaurant in Rosettenville and has always stayed true to these roots. We serve up great-tasting food to the people who make South Africa what it is,” says van Niekerk. “We are fortunate that as a global brand with local roots we are able to draw learnings from our various international service models, adapting them to the benefit of our guests. With this in mind, relaunching our restaurant in Maponya Mall is a natural fit.”

The restaurant opened its doors for trading on 31st March and will be officially launched on the evening of Thursday 16 April.

There’s a new place ekasi – fired up like never before.
