So You Think You Can Dance Top 4

It’s heating up on Mzansi’s ever-popular TV Show, So You Think You Can Dance, with only 4 dancers left in the competition. These extraordinary movers shook their bodies through routine after challenging routine, and have emerged as the most dextrous, daring and downright dynamic dancers in the show. But it’s far from over, and there’s still some intense rivalry and testing tasks left before a winner is announced in the grand finale on Saturday the 9th of November, aired on SABC 1 at 18:00, and not in the usual 18:30 timeslot.

The sixth elimination took place on Monday the 2nd November,  and viewers had to say goodbye to Nadine Theron from Welkom and Nick Vries from Cape Town, leaving an enthusiastic, competitive Top 4. This means fans can look forward to a nail biting climax to the show.

These young dancers are as talented as they are diverse, so be prepared for even more thrills and dancing skills:

Robyn Brophy, is a dynamic multi-skilled dancer who’s been passionate about her art since the age of eight, and has a mastery of Latin, ballroom, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, pantsula, afro-fusion and tap.

Sibahle Tshibika started dancing at the age of 16 and has performed in many different festivals and choreographic pieces since then, dancing on stage across South Africa and the USA where she studied with the Atlanta Ballet.

Charlie van Rooyen is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and part-time model, and specialises in many different dance styles like contemporary, hip hop, tap, street, modern and Indian.

Chris Van Staden is a hip hop dancer who specialises in isolations, popping and breakdancing, and includes fire dancing with poi as one of his hobbies.

No two dancers are alike, and no two routines will yield the same results when the contestants take on each other in a series of challenges designed to have a little more pace and a bigger dose of blood, sweat and tears.

One of the Top 4 will walk away with the R250 000-00 cash prize on Saturday 9th November for the final.  It’s going to be an exhilarating, rollercoaster ride, and energetic host Sinazo Yolwa will be on hand to do what she does best: amplify the excitement.

So the Top 4 need to dance their hearts out, take it that one step further and impress judges Harold Van Buuren, Themba Nofomele and Lorna Lukhele and be the deserving winner!
