[Vote] #MTNSAMA19 Record Of The Year Contenders

The contenders in the ever popular MTN SAMA Record of the Year (RoY) category have been announced and it promises to be a very intense battle for the coveted golden statuette at the Sun City Superbowl on the evening of May 11, 2013.

The MTN Record of the Year category is the only category in the MTN SAMAs where the winner is decided by the public through SMS votes. The public are given a list of 20 nominees comprising of artists, duos or groups that dominated the airwaves in 2012, which is based on the number of times a track was played across South African radio stations.

SMS voting lines opened on 20 March at 13h00 and close on the 9th May at 20h00. The final five (5) nominees will then be determined and voting lines will re-open on the 10th May at 08h00 and the winner will be announced during the live broadcast of the MTN SAMA 19 Awards on SABC 1 after an audit process on the 11th May.

Fans can SMS up to a maximum of 10 times per mobile number, each vote counts and could make the crucial difference in who walks away with the MTN SAMA!
