SAY WHAT?! First Black Female Editor, Sbu Mpungose Leaves Cosmpolitan South Africa!

It was all a dream…”

Sbu Mpungose has “resigned” as Editor of Cosmopolitan South Africa.

Media Update released a statement on Wednesday September, 12th, 2012, about Sbu Mpungose’s sudden departure from Cosmopolitan South Africa.

This is a major upset because y’all know she was their first Black female editor right?

Mpungose had been editor of Cosmopolitan for the past year and is apparently leaving the much-loved-by females magazine to pursue personal interests.

Vanessa Raphaely, editorial director of Associated Magazines said:

“It is with regret that we have to announce that Sbu Mpungose has resigned as editor of Cosmopolitan South Africa. We wish her well and thank her for the time she has spent here.”

Sbu Mpungose had a driving work ethic, boundless ambition and a gut feel for what her readers want throughout her career as Editor. She took on her career as editor at the mere age of 23 at a different publication then, Sbu has won awards such as 1st for Women in the Media Rising Star Awards.

A beautiful inspiring woman with a great presence in the Media industry,  a great future lies ahead for the sassy Sbu Mpungose.
