The much anticipated Simphiwe Dana “State of Emergency” was released in the early morning today and I must say this song is worth the wait!!

This new single was written in commemoration of the 1976 June 16 student uprising.

She continues to advocate for a new political discourse through her numerous writings, such as the language debate she opened recently when she called for the recognition of a single South African indigenous language as an official language, reported the SowetanLive.
