Celebration Carnival hosted by Eagle Canyon

Filed under : Africa, Entertainment, Lifestyle

Eagle Canyon  hosted a Celebration Carnival on Sunday 6 May to commemorate the transfer of the Golf Course and Club House to the residents.

This first took place late in 2011 after a massive effort from many many residents and trustees on your estate. The Carnival Celebration is a Food and Fun extravanganza, which included fun and entertainment for all residents, family and friends of Eagle Canyon.  The fun part is that it catered for all ages and the weather was to die for. Everything from face painting to jumping castles, clowns, jugglers, laser clay pigeon shooting, Landrover, 4 x 4 off Road Track, Live Music, DJ, Band, Magicians, Rock climbing walls, carousal rides and many more.

First thing I noticed was the friendliness of their staff; we had golf carts waiting to drive us down to the golf course where the carnival took place.
Under the sunny skies we were mesmerised by the great sounds of Cleo Filander. You will remember this child star from the 1st season of SA’s Got Talent where she was runner up at the tender age of 9 years. If she was so brilliant back then, you can only imagine what she’s capable of 2 years later, at just 11 years.

Groove Council headed by actress Rami Chuene and the Magician also gave the old toppies some groovy sounds and we saw the young and old dancing away.

The guest-list was refreshing and it was nice seeing families out having a good time, we spotted a few familiar faces that were there to enjoy the family day: DJ Black Coffee and his gorgeous wife Mbali Maphumulo nee Mlotshwa enjoyed the festivities with the equally gorgeous son. Miza Modibedi, Bonnie Henna from Rhythm City, Renate Stuurman and Thandy Matlaila to mention were also seen up and about at the golf estate.

We thank Nana Stapelberg from Sugar & Groove who was the organiser of the Carnival and we cannot wait to attend the next one. Maybe all estates will host such once in a while.
Thank you Eagle Canyon.
