South African artists are doing BIG TINGS man!!! Congratulations to Kwaito artist Howza for his Channel O Music Award nomination.

Howza is honored to be nominated for a Channel O Music Video Award in the category “Most Gifted Kwaito Video” and would like to thank all his fans and Channel O for supporting Kwaito Music. To vote for Howza sms 8C to +27 83 920 8406 or via the channel O website www.channelo.tv alternatively on mxit which costs only 20 moola.

Born in Diepkloof Soweto Tshepo Howard Mosese aka Howza has been described by many in the entertainment industry as a multi talented artist. Apart from being a talented Kwaito artist Howza has appeared on the biggest South African Soapie Generations staring alongside many acclaimed actor and actresses in the country.

In 2011 Howza teamed up with Music mogul Vusi Leeuw. Vusi Leeuw, known for being the driving force behind the successful launching of the careers of TKZEE, Mandoza, Hip Hop Pantsula aka HHP, Dj Bongz and Kabelo Mabalane to name but a few, will be in charge of managing Howza’s music career and taking it to a higher level.

“In my first album and I made it a point to talk about myself,” states Howza. The former Generations star says “Cut to the Chase” was about where he is from, where he is going and mostly, what he is about “without beating about the bush”. His latest offering, “World Premier” is exactly that- a newer, more mature sound for his die-hard fans, but is also an album with enough variety to get him another legion of fans.

“World Premier” is an assortment of musical genres, and it features a good mix of old school sounds, dance hall, hip hop and of course kwaito. The album opens with ‘Hustler’, an upbeat hip hop track in his classic mixture of English and vernacular style, reminiscent of the sound we heard in his previous hit track, ‘Styla Samahala’. The album also features fun tracks like, ‘Happy Befday’ and ‘Love to love you’ which showcase Howza’s more playful side. He worked with the likes of Flabba, Mzambiya, Lady Naturelle (Gang of Instrumentals) and of course Omen, who produced the entire album, barring one track which was produced by D-Rex

Howza would like to thank the Channel O family for appreciating and recognizing his music.
