FAB EVENT: 2011 FASHION GIVES BACK! An Evening of Style, Allure & Goodwill In Aid of Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children

Here is an uber fab event for your fashion lovers…in England!

Friday, 19th August |   6pm    |  BMW SYTNER LEICESTER

So according to the Press Release we got, FASHIONGIVESBACK! 2011 is a unique event that aims to use fashion to advocate change and raise money for the orphans of Zimbabwe. Inspired by the BBC documentary – ‘Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children’, by BAFTA winning directors Xoliswa Sithole and Jezza Neumann, Charlene Mukuzvaza, a young Zimbabwean woman living in the UK was so moved by this beautiful yet haunting documentary, that she enlisted the support of her fellow countrymen to create a fundraising event to benefit under-privileged children in her home country.

Enter The FASHIONGIVESBACK! 2011.

Charlene had this to say:

“I am honored to be working with such an illustrious list of sponsors on the first ever FASHIONGIVESBACK! 2011 in aid of Zimbabwe’s forgotten children. Fashion is universal, personal and touches everyone in some way and I am excited to be using this event to reach people and showcase the creativity of Zimbabwean and international designers whilst raising money for this great cause.”

The catwalk show will feature cutting edge designs from talented African designers whose works translate the African aesthetic for today’s global audience.

So whilst enjoying the evening, you will be able to view the latest models of BMW and MINI’s. CLARINS, the official glam squad, will be on hand offering pampering demonstrations.

Zimbabwean R&B singer, Cynthia Mare will be performing and Zimbabwean blogger & motivational speaker, Carol Nyazika and dancehall ambassador, Jusa Dementor will be the stylish hosts for the evening!

All money raised will go directly to the True Vision Foundation and the Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation, where the funds will be put straight to work in tailor made assistance to ten primary schools in Zimbabwe through payment of school fees and cultivating nutrition gardens onsite.
