Let me start off by saying that I do not watch Big Brother and I’m not a fan and hence I caught a bit of the action via Twitterville. So it was not hard to gather that many people (mostly South African’s) were more than just upset that fan favourite Luclay did NOT win! My timeline was filled with #BBA tweets that expressed anger and disgust at how the BBA votes for Luclay were “rigged”.
Nigeria and Zimbabwe are celebrating with their winners tonight. Karen Igho from Nigeria and Wendall Parson from Zimbabwe each walked away with a cash prize of $200 000 as they came out tops from their housemates.
Africa voted as follows:
Karen: 6 country votes – Nigeria, Angola, Rest of Africa, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania
Wendall: 4 country votes – Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Kenya
Luclay: 2 country votes – South Africa, Botswana
Lomwe: 1 country vote – Malawi
Sharon O: 1 country vote – Uganda
Hanni: 1 country vote – Ethiopia
Vina: 0 Country Votes.
Poor Vina, I would be embarrassed! Anyway, I hope Luclay recovers well clearly everyone thought he would win but forgot to vote…(Personally I can’t say I’m surprised despite not being a fan of the show. With most reality TV shows the fan favourite rarely win e.g. American Idols David Cook vs David Archuleta…)
I hear Karen is an aspiring model and actress, so this money will come in handy for her…as for this Wendall guy, he looks like the type who would spend it all wisely!!!
