South Africa’s “Class Act” Exclusive Update: Down To The Last FOUR!!!

Hi Guys!!

.

On Monday I was left sunned when Rosa was eliminated from the show, leaving Tumie and Mandisa as the last 2 female contestants joining Abdul and Pallace as the last 4 in the competition. My personal favourite is Tumie but anything can happen, so all the best to the last 4.

Rosa, Brenda Ngxoli and Tumie

Class Act promised double the drama and twice the thrills in the second season of South Africa’s toughest film audition, exposing talent and eliminating aspiring actor’s week after week in the search for SA’s leading man and leading lady.

This week saw the ladies battle it out head to head in the action genre as they sought to impress the judges and the voting public.

Tumie teamed up with last week’s eliminated contestant Ephraim Gordon to deliver a performance described as ‘believable and real’ by all three judges. “There was a sense of danger and it felt real” said Brenda Ngxoli, this week’s guest judge as she announced that the Class Act of the Week award belonged to Tumie.  This week, the Metro FM Class Act of the Week Award went to Tumie, echoing the judges’ decision.  Adil, Metro FM DJ was in studio to make the results known, adding that the listeners also felt Tumie’s true quality shone through in her screen test.

“I am ecstatic about being in the top two and for having received the Class Act of the week award.  The stakes are high and I’m going to have to up my  game.  This has been an awesome experience and I hope to win after having come so far” said Tumie after receiving the award.

Rosa

Sadly for Rosa tonight’s elimination show was the end of her journey on Class Act.  Although Tim Green said he felt that Rosa was precise and co-ordinated in her action scenes she received the fewest votes from the public this week.   “I came to Johannesburg to pursue my biggest dream and Class Act happened along the way and it’s the greatest blessing I have had. I am very grateful “said a tearful Rosa during the live show when Kenneth announced her elimination “I look forward to going out there and getting work in the industry.  Class Act has prepared me for the future and I am ready” says Rosa.

Next Week On Class Act.

We are down to the final four contestants in the battle for SA’s toughest  film audition.  Abdul and Pallance will now battle it out to become SA’s leading man, while Mandisa and Tumie go head to head to become SA’s next leading lady.  The leading couple will be announced at the end of the grand finale on July 16th.  This Saturday, July 9th, the contestants will attempt to impress the judges and the fans as they take on the action – comedy genre..  Moshidi Motshegwa returns to the show and joins Rapulana Seiphemo and Moonyeenn Lee on the iconic golden couch as next week’s celebrity guest judge.  Motshegwa is popularly known for her leading role in Zero Tolerance, for which she won a Best Actress in a Television Drama Golden Horn award. The award winning actress, who has graced local and international audiences with stellar performances brings much value to the series particularly since she has followed the fortunes of the contestants since the national audition phase.

Class Act airs every Saturday evening, at 18h30, live on SABC 1 with a 90-minute grand finale which will be broadcast on July 16th.

Vote by sending the number of your favourite contestant to 33388 (sms charged at R1.50). Free voting on CLASS ACT SA (Data charges apply) and on Mxit (Tradepost>Entertainment>ClassAct) at 20 Moola per vote.
