News just in…ZarOnine has confirmed that the Durban and Cape Town Zarfest “partie” ft Timbaland, Lil’ Kim, Ciara, Phat Joe, etc have been cancelled.  The statement below was released on

“ZAR has unfortunately had to cancel ZARfest in Durban and Cape Town. The Johannesburg Coca-Cola Dome show still continues and those who bought Durban and Cape Town tickets can use their refunds to attend these shows. As is normal for concerts, all tickets already sold at Computicket for Durban and Cape Town will be fully refunded to our clients at their nearest Computicket outlet.

The reasons for the cancellation are primarily slow ticket sales in Durban and Cape Town. Johannesburg sales have been excellent and the show there remains unchanged.

As with Zimbabwe, the artists, including Timbaland, have promised world-class performances at Coca-Cola Dome. Timbaland has said: “After watching the show at the Dome, South Africa will never be the same.”

Kenny Kunene has said: “We are first time promoters and it’s important that we don’t repeat the mistakes of promoters who have tried shows like these before and committed to guaranteed losses. We want to keep bringing the world’s best acts to the country.”

ZAR promises that Johannesburg will be the biggest urban concert South Africa has ever seen. Be sure to get your ticket now for June 3rd.”

I hope the Jo’burg peeps come out and support Zar Entertainment, word is the Zim edition was dope!
