Barcelona are the 2011 UEFA Champions League CHAMPS!!! The stage was all set at Wembley stadium and fans around the globe were ready to witness the best game ever at the feet of Barca and ManU players. The game started off with United showing that they could actually topple the Spanish champions, but just minutes into the game, Pedro put Barcelona in the lead.

Celebrations were short lived though as United’s hero Rooney equalised and put his team back in the game. The 1st half ended at 1 all. (At this point I was thinking Pep better knock some sense into his boys). Well, Messi doesn’t like losing and I guess it doesn’t take much for him to retaliate. He put Barca back in the lead within just under 10 minutes of the start of the 2nd half. And let’s just say that from this point onwards, things got very “messi” for Man United! And just when we though it was all over Messi made a good run to find Villa who sealed the 3rd goal for Barcelona. “Pedro, Messi and Villa clinch second Champions League crown in three years for Guardiola”

“Barcelona, inspired by the peerless Lionel Messi, delivered a soccer masterclass to overwhelm Manchester United 3-1 in the Champions League final and lift the European Cup for the fourth time on Saturday.”

 Team Barcelona 2011

Messi was definately the teams inspiration yet again and together the team did not disappoint! I just love world class football and as a proud Barca fan, Pep and his delivered the very best. Personally this is by far the best Barcelona team I have ever witnessed, and of course one might also add that it’s the best team alive (hehehe).

There’s just no stopping this 23 year old “football god”…utter class!!!
