Happy Monday!

As we have told you guys that “Bey season” is upon us and what a way to get the season into highest gear than a SUPER SPECTACULAR performance at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.

Beyonce performed last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena  in Las Vegas, at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards with her first televised performance of “Run The World (Girls)” and her acceptance for the Billboard Millennium Award.

Beyonce’s performance started with a video tribute from her dad, Matthew Knowles, her mother, Tina Knowles, First Lady Michelle Obama, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Barbra Streisand, her sister Solange Knowles, her nephew Daniel Julez Smith, Bono, Lady Gaga, and The Dream.

She started off her performance by declaring:

“Men have been given the chance to rule the world but ladies our revolution has begun. Let’s build a nation! Women, everywhere, run the world!”, was filled with special effects and tons of dancers.

The best part of Bey’s performance last night had to be her acceptance speech. In accepting the 2011 Billboard Millenium Award, she thanked her family, as well as former Destiny’s Child members, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who were both present. She also thanked the original members, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson. The bestest part for me, was when she thanked her hubby, Jay Z (who was cheering and smiling on the sidelines):

“I’d also like to thank my best friend. And I don’t wanna put you on the spot, ’cause I know, they’re probably putting the camera in your face right now. But I love me some Jay-Z”.

Check out her performance:

Rock on Bey!
