The Standard Bank Arena in Johannesburg was buzzing with fans waiting to watch the energetic band N.E.R.D and their fine front man, Pharrell Williams. The concert kicked-off at 7pm, with local Hansa Legends in the making tour artists taking to the stage.

Kwela Tebza in the red ensemble (a dedication to Valentine’s day maybe???) did their thing on stage. They weren’t as great as I had anticipated they would be though…

Zuluboy did his thing and the crowd responded positively.

Ntando also took us back to the days when he was still one of the best newcomers in the Afro-pop genre…I miss the old Ntando *sigh*

Futuresound were okay (I guess I was really just waiting for N.E.R.D, lol)

Ah! And then my favourite DJ at the moment DJ Tira got us dancing to “eza se Afro”…(gotta give it up to Tira, he is doing his thing and doing it well)

The moment we were all waiting for finally came and N.E.R.D took to the stage. Absolutely crazy!!! The energy and the vibe they create is exactly what any fan wants to see when they attend live concerts.

I love Shay’s cool and Pharrell’s stage presence…he knows what the ladies want and he doesn’t fail to deliver.

I screamed my voice out when they performed “hypnotize you” and “pop it like it’s hot”.

I had the best view in the VIP suite thanks to the peeps at The Communications Firm and one of the best PR Exec in the country Melanie Ramjee.

Can’t wait for N.E.R.D to return…until then “lemme HYPNOTIZE YOU!!!”
