Former YO-TV presenter, actress and “action-extraordinaire” Sade Giliberti is turning on a new leaf this spring. The presenter of So you think you can dance, was recently named as the new face of Legit. Sade was always known for “tomboy look” with sort hair, piercing’s and tattoo’s which made her stand out from the rest of her former YO-TV co-presenters. I sometimes compared her to a more subtle version of Rihanna (before the outrageous 360 degrees make-over, lol). She’s fun, bubbly, cute and young (what more could Legit ask for?). Glenda Mthimkhulu, Legit’s spokesperson said Sade was chosen because she is young (like I said), talented, confident, smart, brave, fun and because she brings energy to the brand.

It’s definitely a good move by Legit and the timing couldn’t be better. Spring is here (in South Africa) and hopefully Sade’s range will bring something fresh and colourful to our wardrobes. Her contract with Legit is worth thousands of rands and I can see why.

Staying true to her adventurous side, she was also a contestant in the last Survivor South Africa and although she didn’t win, she sure showed the other contestants how things are done.

Only she can explain her style better: “My personal style is versatile and it’s out there, funky and at the same time very trendy. It complements The adventure of a Legit Girl range”.

The range is characterised as “macho military chic” and includes a range jean skirts, long jeans, dresses and evening wear (my favourite). It also includes Gladiator sandals for the military look, heels, and stiletto’s and for those who want to dress down; flats are included in the package (so it basically caters for everyone).

“I just love the military styled outfits since they represent the funkier side of me. The range reflects my personality and the things I believe in. I love the outdoors and it complements that part of me” said a very excited Sade.

“The adventure of a Legit Girl range” is available at all Legit stores countrywide in South Africa. Previous Legit faces include the sultry Live presenter Bonang Matheba and former Miss Teen South Africa, Zizo Beda (who is now also the face of Garnier).

For someone who would never be caught in a skirt, let alone heels…Sade has come along way. All I can say is big up’s to “Shady” (I will be checking out the collection at the nearest Legit store and hopefully post some pics soon).

From your girl Allegro Dinkwanyane-“I’m just saying”, so have your say…

What do you think of Sade as the new face of Legit and will you be trying out the collection?
