2009 BET Hip Hop Awards rock in Atlanta, Georgia!

The 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards were on last night in Atlanta, Georgia at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center

Fab chic, singer Monica rocked the Red Carpet at the BET Hip Hop Awards. Her reality show Monica: Still Standing, which will premiere on the  BET network this October.

The BET reality show follows the R&B singer as she raises her two cute little boys, 3-year-old Rodney and 18-month-old Romelo and refocuses on her career. Her family portrait pictures were done by Atlanta’s famed celebrity photographer Derek Blanks! Derek did the alter-ego photo shoot for Nene, Kim, Lisa, Kandi & Sheree on season 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The Monica’s reality show aired on Atlanta’s Peachtree TV several months ago. Go Monica, get that paper!

Talking about the real housewives of Atlanta…Sheree Whitfield of the hit reality show Real Housewives of Atlanta rocked the BET Hip Hop Red Carpet in a cute grey jumper by American Apparel and matching blue shoes & clutch pursue.

With Sheree Whitfield in NYC at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. She debuted her She by Sheree clothing line! Sheree was very pleasant & asked me if The Real Housewives of Atlanta was showing in South Africa…I don’t know, is it?

Rap legend & Hollywood actor, Ice Cube!

Ice Cube, a former N.W.A member was honored with the I Am Hip-Hop award at the BET Hip Hop Awards. In honor of the rap legend, they played an introductory video that included a voice-over from Dr. Dre. “From that first rhyme he spit for me, I knew Cube was a star,” said Dr. Dre of Ice Cube. The award was presented to Ice Cube by Young Jeezy and Ice Cube’s favorite MC, Chuck D.

Heart throb R& B singer, Mario

Mario’s new & fourth album D.N.A. drops October 13th. His single “Break Up” is doing very well on the charts!

Rap artist, Busta Rhymes [rocking Louis Vuitton head to toe - sigh] was also at the BET Hip Hop Awards and he presented an award for DJ AM, who died of an accidental drug overdose in August.

Rap chic, Trina wore Narcisco Rodriguez [white blouse, blue stripped skirt] to the BET Hip Hop Awards! Her fifth solo album, “Amazing” is supposedly out next year in March some time.
