Featuring the voices of Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana, our fave girl Oprah Winfrey as Eudora Tiana’s mom, Keith David as Dr. Facilier the main antagonist of the story, the extremely talented & funny Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie who serves as the film’s fairy Godmother, cutie pie [don’t get us started on him – please] Terrence Howard as James Tiana’s dad, Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen and others.

Check out the trailer for it…

The Princess and the Frog hits theaters with a limited run in New York City and Los Angeles starting on November 25th, followed by a wide release on December 11th.

I took my two girls (6 and 4) to see the Princess and the Frog movie today. They enjoyed it thoroughly. The voodoo creatures from “the other side” were a little disturbing to me but didn’t seem to bother them too much. Although Tiana does spend most of the movie as a frog, I am just happy to see that we finally have a black Disney princess. It’s great to have more options for gifts this holiday instead of the standard Disney princesses.

    Hi Joleen,

I am hearing great reviews on the movie! I am happy that your little ones had a blast! Yes, it is so awesome that we FINALLY have more options for gifts for Christmas and that we have Disney characters that do resemble us…sort of [smile]!

I did see that there was “voodoo” depictions on the movie! Unnecessary, especially for young minds! It leaves a lasting impression on them…

Thanks for sharing & great to hear from ya!

Happy holidays to you & your family!
